Guide for drivers

1. Signing in and home page

Your league on the home page
Your league on the home page

Click Sign in with Discord at the top left. SimLigaManager only receives your Discord name, your ID and the list of your servers with your roles: no password and no e-mail address.

The home page shows one tile per league of the Discord servers you are a member of: next race, last result and your entry with car.

⭐ Special events are shown at the very top – in the sidebar, on the home page and on the pit board. They are cross-community: you can register even if you are not in the community hosting the event.

The sidebar works like Discord: if you are in several communities, a column with their icons sits on the far left. The top icon (SimLigaManager) shows the cross-community pages (home, driver rating, commentators, pit board, track records, gallery, sponsoring), a click on a community shows its leagues. A dot on the left of an icon means unread chat messages, a red number open tickets. Your user area is fixed at the bottom: a click on your name shows your ratings, next to it light/dark, DE/EN and My account. In the sidebar you will find for each league:

  • Overview: the league's welcome page with poster and information.
  • Races & results: calendar with tracks, dates and results.
  • Championship: drivers' standings and, if enabled, team standings.
  • Entry list: all entered drivers with car and rating.
  • Teams, Tickets and Registration (while it is open).

The news ticker at the top shows wins, pole positions, fastest laps, big climbers and championship leads from all leagues. When a league is streaming a race on YouTube or Twitch, a red LIVE button next to it lists all running broadcasts.

2. Registering for a season

Registration: participation, profile, class
Registration: participation, profile, class
  1. Open Registration in the league's sidebar (or click the registration button in the Discord paddock post). The rulebook and bulletins are at the top – please read them first.
  2. RaceRoom: paste the link to your RaceRoom profile, your profile name or ID and click Check. If your avatar and name appear, everything is right. Known drivers do not need to enter anything.
Le Mans Ultimate and Automobilista 2: see the next section.
  3. How do you want to take part? Whole season (regular driver in the championship) or Guest driver (single races, no points).
  4. Choose class and car. Full cars or classes are locked.
  5. RaceRoom: choose a livery. Your race number comes from the livery. Depending on the league, each livery can be taken once or several times; taken ones are marked.
    LMU/AMS2/ACC: choose a free race number (1–999).
  6. Accept the rules (if the league has provided them; not needed if you have raced in a league before). The first time you also confirm that you are at least 18 and that your name and results will be published.
  7. Click Confirm registration. You appear in the entry list and the live entry list in Discord right away and (depending on the league) get the driver role.

3. Le Mans Ultimate and Automobilista 2 specifics

  • Link with Steam: click it once. We only receive your Steam ID, no password. One Steam ID belongs to exactly one Discord account.
  • Real name: enter your first and last name and set it exactly the same in the game. For LMU the result file only contains name and race number, which is how SimLigaManager recognises you. For Automobilista 2 and ACC it recognises you by your Steam ID; the name is the fallback. In ACC endurance races with driver swaps, the car counts for the entry matching one of its Steam IDs.
  • Race number: free choice, but unique per season. Race with exactly this number.
  • Livery image (optional): a screenshot of your car (PNG/JPG/WebP, max. 8 MB). It is cropped to 480 × 270 pixels and shown in the entry list, results and Discord. Without an image we show the official car picture.
  • Server registration: some leagues also use an external platform for the server whitelist. The link is then shown on the registration page, and you need to register there as well.

4. Changing your entry, change window, withdrawing

Your entry with “Change entry” and “Withdraw from the season”
Your entry with “Change entry” and “Withdraw from the season”

Once you are registered, the sidebar item is called My entry (instead of “Registration”). It shows Your entry with the buttons Change entry (car, livery or race number) and Withdraw from the season.

  • Free change window: until the start of round 1, or until the start of the next round if you register during the season.
  • After the window a change costs the points you have scored so far (depending on the league: for car or livery changes, only for car changes, or never). The form warns you in red and asks for confirmation. The forfeited rounds are then marked “✕” in the championship.
  • Depending on the league you may switch liveries of the same car at any time.
  • Withdraw from the season withdraws your entry. Points already scored stay in the table. Registering again reactivates your entry.

5. Guest drivers

As a guest driver you pick single upcoming races. Guests do not score championship points and do not take liveries or places from regular drivers. On the registration page you can cancel single guest starts, add more races or switch to Whole season at any time. The league sets how many guest starts per season are possible (default: 2).

💶 Entry fee

If a league or event charges an entry fee, the amount (per driver or per team) and a payment link are shown at the top of the signup page. You pay the league directly; once the admins have confirmed receipt, it says paid there.

Reserve drivers

If the grid is full, your registration automatically puts you on the reserve list – in order of registration (first come, first served). You see your place on the registration page; the list is also shown under Starters.

  • A regular driver declines: for that race the next reserve moves up. You get a Discord direct message and appear in the race's attendance list – please confirm or decline. If you decline, the next reserve is up.
  • A place becomes free: if a regular driver withdraws or the league releases their place, the first reserve moves up permanently and gets the driver role.
  • If you race as a reserve, your points count for the championship.

6. Attendance per race

The league's Discord channel has an attendance post for the next race. Click Attend or Decline; only you see the answer, and the post shows the updated lists (attending, declined, pending) right away.

  • The same works on the website: on the race page (calendar → race), click Confirm or Decline under Attendance. Website and Discord always show the same status.
  • You can answer until the race starts.
  • With the small 🏁 tab with an arrow at the bottom of the sidebar's right edge you slide out Next races: a monthly calendar with the series logo on every race day, for all leagues and events you are registered for. The frame shows your status (green confirmed, yellow open, red declined), the yellow number on the button the races without an answer. Your next race is shown at the top as a preview – confirm or decline right there. A click on another logo in the calendar shows its preview. Confirming or declining is only possible for the next race of a season (also on the race page). If you are also a commentator, switch to 🎙️ Commentator at the top: it shows the races of your assignments (purple frame), a click opens the assignment.
  • If you have not answered, the bot reminds you by direct message 7 days and 24 hours before.
  • If the league has set a server password, the bot sends it to you by direct message shortly before the race – unless you declined. Direct messages from server members must be allowed in Discord for this.
  • Guest drivers can only decline and re-attend booked races. New guest starts are booked on the website.

7. Races, results and championship

Race result with the qualifying/race switch

  • Races & results shows the calendar. Click a finished race to open the result with the switches Q (qualifying) and R or R1/R2 (race).
  • Provisional means race control is still reviewing and penalties can change the result. Official means released; race control decisions are listed below the result.
  • The championship shows points per race and the total. Struck-through values are drop scores, “✕” marks forfeited points and “−25” a protest stake. In multiclass there is one table per class.
  • Your own row is highlighted everywhere.

8. Teams

Your team
Your team

If the league has enabled team standings, you will find Teams in the sidebar.

  • Found team: name and optional logo. You become team captain. Only regular drivers can found a team, and each driver can be in at most one team.
  • Invite: the captain picks drivers of the same class. The invited driver gets a Discord direct message with Accept/Decline and also sees the invitation on the website.
  • Scoring: team points are the sum of all team drivers per race, without drop scores. Points stay with the team the driver was in at the start of the race. A team only appears in the standings once it has the minimum size.
  • New season: you can take over your team from the previous season with name and logo.

9. Tickets: incidents and protests

Report an incident
Report an incident

Race control does not watch the whole race. Report every incident you want reviewed under Tickets.

Report an incident

  • Possible while the result is provisional, and only for races you started.
  • Provide the race, the other driver, lap, corner/location, what happened and ideally a video link. If another driver also caused the incident (e.g. a three-car crash), select them as second driver involved – race control decides for both separately.
  • You can chat with race control in the ticket. You get a Discord direct message for new messages and for the decision (without content, with a link).
  • Only you and race control see your ticket; the reported driver does not.

File a protest

  • Only against a decision against yourself, within the protest window after the official release (24 hours by default), once per decision.
  • The stake (25 championship points by default) is deducted immediately and only refunded if race control upholds the protest. Your points may become negative.

10. Strikes and bans

Race control can add strikes to a penalty. The league defines what happens at which total, for example:

  • Qualifying ban: no qualifying, start from the back of the grid.
  • Race ban: no start in the race concerned.
  • Exclusion from the competition: from the next race on.

The consequence applies to the next race that is not cancelled. As soon as the result is official, you get a direct message in Discord (with the race concerned). You can see your strikes and upcoming consequences under Tickets.

11. Driver rating

Driver rating (login required) is a ranking across all leagues per simulation, calculated from all official races.

  • Elo: starts at 1500. You gain points against everyone you beat in your class and lose points against everyone ahead of you.
  • Safety rating, 0–100, grades A+ to D-: based on contacts, spins, off-tracks and penalties per hour of racing, weighted over the last 10 races. Track limits only count where you have more than the field average.
  • The first three races count as provisional. Your detail page breaks down every race.
  • At the bottom of the sidebar, a click on your name shows Elo, safety grade and position per simulation; a click on a row opens your detail page.
  • 🎨 Livery designers: under “Livery designers” (sidebar) you find all designers with portfolio and ratings. Request one directly on the profile (type, car, deadline, budget, description); the designer replies with an offer, you chat, choose and rate after delivery. Designers and commentators marked “fully booked” are not taking requests right now.
  • 🥇 Badges: the top 3 of the championship (current season per league and class), the driver rating (per simulation) and activity get small badges in gold, silver and bronze – in the chat after the name and on the driver profile. “Who is online?” from your community is at the bottom right.
  • 🔥 Activity: an additional ranking of how active someone was in the last 30 days – active days on the site, races driven, attendance answers, chat, photos, thumbs given and reviews, in five levels. It is shown in the driver badge as well.
  • Rate commentators: if you drove in a commentated race, you can rate the commentator under Commentators with 1–5 stars (once per assignment).

Downloading results

On the Championship page every standing (driver, class and team standings) and on every race result the header has a “⬇ Download” button. Choose the format: PNG (image in best quality, e.g. for Discord or WhatsApp), JPEG (image, smaller file) or HTML (a page that opens in the browser even without internet). All three show the same in the league's design – marked “provisional” or “official”.

12. Driver chat

If the admin has switched it on, the series has its own chat on the website – in the sidebar under the series as Chat. Unread messages show as a count on the entry and a red dot on the series; inside the chat a “New” line marks the first message you haven't seen yet. What you have opened yourself counts as read – individually for everyone. Only drivers entered for the current season or an upcoming event can see it; admins and race control read along.

  • Writing: Enter sends, Shift+Enter starts a new line. Formatting as in Discord: **bold**, *italic*, ~~strikethrough~~, `code`, ||spoiler||. Links become clickable.
  • Emojis via 😊 – at the top your Discord server's own emojis, below the standard emojis. You can also type your server's emojis as :name:.
  • Images via ➕ or simply paste them (Ctrl+V), up to 8 MB. Search GIFs with the “GIF” button if the search is set up.
  • React: hover over the message → 😊 → quick picks or + for all emojis (including your server's). Click an existing reaction to add yours, click again to take it back.
  • Voice room (if switched on): “🎧 Join” at the top of the chat – your browser asks once for the microphone. Who is in shows as a picture in the bar (green ring = speaking) and with 🔊 in the member list. “Mute” switches your microphone off, “Leave” ends the call; closing the tab works too. You stay in as long as the tab is open – even while you are driving in the sim with the browser in the background, or when the connection drops briefly. Important: keep the tab open and do not navigate to another page in it (open a second tab for other pages). A headset works best.
  • Members: to the right of the chat (on a phone via “👥”) you see who can read the chat – at the top who is online right now (green dot), below the others greyed out. “Admin” and “RC” (race control) are marked.
  • Reply, edit, delete: hover over the message (on a phone: tap it). Your own messages can be edited for 24 hours; the up arrow edits your last one.

13. Account, language, privacy

  • 💡 Mr. Pitwall: our comic character pops up at the bottom now and then with tips matching the page – with a “Here” link to the explanation; use ‹ › to browse. “×” hides him for half an hour, turn him off under My account → Tips.
  • At the bottom of the sidebar you switch between DE/EN and between the light and dark theme.
  • Stay signed in: you stay signed in for 90 days, even after closing the browser. SimLigaManager syncs servers and roles with Discord automatically once a day; for an immediate update use Sync with Discord now under My account.
  • My simulations: under My account you choose the simulations you drive. Leagues and events of the others are then greyed out in the sidebar, on the start page and on the pit board and cannot be clicked. Leagues you are entered in or admin of always stay available.
  • Under My account you see all stored data, download it as a file or delete your account. Your results then stay in the tables anonymously so the standings remain correct.
